Guidelines for Use
PrivacyIf you tag items using MTagger, your uniqname and the web pages you tag will be available to other users. MTagger stores and displays your uniqname, the URLs of pages you have tagged, and the tags you have applied. You do not need to tag anything to search and see other users' tags.NOTE: You may hide your uniqname from public view via the "Manage your tags" page. If you select "anonymous tagging", all your tags and personal descriptions will be visible to everyone, but they will not be associated with your uniqname. But tags are meant to be shared -- so join in!
Appropriate UseEverything you tag is viewable by anyone with Web access and is associated with your University of Michigan uniqname. This includes your tags and your personal descriptions for items. Users of the MTagger service agree to the University of Michigan Proper Use Policy and Guidelines for Reponsible Use of information technology. Users of the MTagger service who do not comply with these guidelines may be asked to remove objectionable tags, descriptions, or tagged items. In the event the user is not reachable or available to remove objectionable content, content may be removed by the University Library. Sign Up! |
